I got hit with a 7-day ban because some political posts got mixed in while I was mechanically 'wrecking' (reposting/aggregrating) content. I lost interest and felt pretty drained, so I was just gonna let it fizzle out, but since I already started this and some of you might be waiting, I wanted to wrap it up properly.
This challenge started from a random curiosity: 'Just how many comment notifications can I stack up?'

In the end, I passed 10,000 and realized the counter doesn't just stop at 9999 or 9999+.

Since I was reposting like a bot, I stepped on a few landmines. I even went into 'Shiny Mode' (red name ban) for a bit. (Got a 3 or 5-day ban because some corporate executive who went wild with a company card requested a post deletion, and I got caught in the crossfire).

I hit 12,345, passed 17,000, and was cruising along... until I hit another political post snag and got slapped with a massive 7-day suspension.

Then, starting from yesterday or the day before, the count started dropping even though I wasn't posting or checking them. Since I started this around Nov 26th, it seems notifications are auto-deleted after one month. What I learned from this: this challenge is hard for several reasons. 1. One accidental click and 100 notifications vanish. 2. Even if someone calls me a dumbass in the comments, I can't talk back. 3. Because of the mechanical reposting, if I miss a political filter, it's an instant ban. 4. One accidental 'Mark all as read' and it's game over. Now that I've confirmed they delete monthly, I think I've reached my goal. If I went hard for a month, I could probably hit 40k, but I'm done with this foolishness. I'm ending the challenge to go touch grass and focus on real life.
"A legendary content aggregator concludes their insane journey of stacking over 17,000 notifications, revealing the site's hidden 30-day auto-delete policy while the community salutes their absurd dedication."
