Hi everyone. I'm in my mid-40s and recently started buying board games to find something fun to do with my kid. I'm leaving a review here. Sheโs not great at them yet, but I'm playing with the mindset of 'she'll get it eventually,' and she actually likes them more than I expected. I'm looking forward to her being even better by age 8. The games I grew up with were mostly Game of Life, Monopoly, and One Card, but looking into it now, I was shocked by how many games exist today. I had some fails early on because I didn't research enough, and some were so boring for me that I'm now looking for games that adults can enjoy too. It's been great seeing her keep up better than expected. Most games these days are diverse, but a lot of them seem similar once you look closely. If you have any good recommendations, please let me know! ^^ Here are my personal ratings (out of 5 for adults, 5 for kids). My wife isn't a fan of board games, so it's usually just me and my daughter, though I think these would be more fun with more people. I'm constantly looking for 2-player games, but looking back at this list, many seem like they'd be better with a crowd.
