My wife's review of driving an EV for a month~~

We recently added an i5 to the family alongside our GV60. Replaced our old E-Class with the i5. Due to various reasons, I'm driving the i5 and my wife is taking the GV60. She’d used the GV60 before for long trips or golf outings, so she wasn't anti-EV, but she did wonder if having both main commuters as EVs was a good idea. We do have an ICE 718, but that's just for my solo weekend drives with the top down.

But after a month of driving an EV, she has completely flipped into an EV fanatic. Her thoughts: 1. It's so good to just blast the heater while picking the kids (10th and 7th grade) up from their academies without worrying about idling! 2. Traffic to Seoul is rough, so she leaves early. Even if she arrives before the office/bank opens, she can just chill in the car with the climate control on until the security guard shows up. 3. Merging on highways or expressways is so easy since you barely have to touch the pedal!! 4. Not having to hear that loud engine clatter during cold starts like the E350 is the best (she loves this most). 5. No more hunting for premium gas or wearing plastic gloves to use self-service pumps. 6. When it needs a charge, she just parks it in the charging zone after work and texts me to go down and charge it with my own money (Dammit!! Charging duty fell on me... T_T) Every situation is different so there's no right answer, but I think having only EVs at home is actually quite alright. Hope you all finish the year strong!

"Users agree that EVs are incredibly convenient for daily tasks like 'hagwon' pickups and maintenance, provided you have a husband or a good facility to handle the charging."
