Check the two links above for the original posts on DogDrip.net. For all the busy DogDrippers out there, I'll start with the TL;DR... I found the owner!!! Here's the full story.

I woke up this morning to find him staring at me just like that. He kept licking his lips before bed so I left a bowl of water out, but he barely touched it by morning. Luckily I'm on annual leave starting today so I didn't have to go to work. As soon as it hit 9 AM, I called the apartment management office and explained the situation. A bit later, the owner called and asked if I had the dog. When I said yes, she started sobbing and said she was coming over right away. As expected, she was a resident here, living in the building diagonally across from mine.

I grabbed the doggo and went down to the first floor. She said she'd be right there but I ended up waiting for about 10 minutes. I was out in shorts and was freezing to death... I thought about going back inside but stayed out just in case she showed up. The dog stayed perfectly still in my arms. Honestly, it's the first time I've seen such a chill Chihuahua. A lady in her late 40s or early 50s came running over crying. Apparently, she never used a leash because he usually follows her well without wandering off during walks. They were walking in the complex yesterday and she thought he was right behind her, but when she looked back, he was just gone. She said she spent all night crying while looking for him and was so thankful she kept tearing up. I told her she really needs to use a leash from now on, and she agreed.

The funny part was when I told her how well-behaved he was, she said his personality is actually trash? Apparently, he usually barks like crazy at strangers—like the classic Chihuahuas we all know. I guess yesterday he was just so scared and tense from being separated and left alone that he was totally cowed. He didn't bark or threaten me even once. He looked old so I asked, and yup, he's a senior dog. I think she said he was over 10 years old, I can't really remember. The owner gave me a bag full of Ssanghwa-cha (herbal tea) pouches as a thank you.

When I got back upstairs, I realized my clothes were covered in fur. The owner said he's a short-haired breed, but if short-hair sheds this much, I can't imagine what long-hair is like... A lint roller wouldn't even pick it up, so I had a hell of a time picking it off by hand. Also, I suddenly found some weird grey substance on my hand, no idea what that was.

I was washing up and resting after cleaning off the fur when the owner suddenly video-called me. Turns out she has another brown Chihuahua at home and wanted to introduce them. She thanked me again, and I told her I was just glad he was found, while reminding her one more time to use a leash. This lady seems like a total 'Power E' (Extrovert).
"OP went through a whole saga with a 'fake' chill Chihuahua and a super-extroverted owner who couldn't stop calling him. The community is wholesome and happy about the successful reunion."
