This year was personally a very meaningful one for me. I used to only take snaps and street photos within Seoul, but on my first-ever trip, I got to see majestic mountains and the vast sea, which allowed me to feel a different kind of charm and broaden my photographic spectrum. It was a truly grateful time where I showed my photos to others for the first time, received interest and compliments, and even won relays and events.

The start of the trip

Sea + Train = Pure Sex

The moment a single ray of light leaked through when I was thinking, 'Why is it always "soup" (foggy) for me? Why am I the only one getting eok-kka'd (screwed by bad luck)?'

The moment I found while wandering around, almost giving up and deciding to just shoot street stuff because of the fine dust + cloud 'soup' combo. That specific window had such good reflection that it captured the lighthouse in the sea on the opposite side perfectly.

"Flow"

Sea fog rolling into Sokcho Beach. Photos from here to #10 are from Seoul.

Personally, one of my favorite photos I've taken at DDP.

A shot I challenged myself with because I wanted to try something original.

I had seen a similar photo somewhere and thought, 'I have to get a shot like that one day,' and as soon as I saw this composition, I was like 'Oh?' and just ripped it.

The first snow of '25 in Seoul.

Moonrise + Meteor Shower. Usually, when people think of moonrise photos, they think of a round moon with clear craters and perfect exposure, but due to a 'skill issue,' all those photos failed. So I just thought, 'Whatever, let's just shoot stars,' and set up an interval. When I checked the shots later, I found a single meteor. The angle was exquisite, looking like it was heading toward the moon, so after stacking it, it looked so pretty that it became my personal best cut.

A shot miraculously saved during the finale of the Busan Fireworks Festival after arriving late and fumbling around without being able to grab a spot. I always had the thought that I wanted to take a fireworks photo that felt immersive, like it was exploding between crowds or alleys, and I think that idea was well-implemented. Next year, if I get the chance, I want to take photos that are good enough to enter contests. My perspective is gradually broadening and I've gained a lot of confidence, so if the theme matches, I want to try with my existing photos, or continue to improve my skills and take new ones to challenge myself. Personally, these days I'm trying to get some 'hip' shots. I want to express the fast-flowing time and the rapidly changing world—which become memories the moment you blink—without any filters, but with my own style added. Thanks for looking.
"The gallery is blown away by the user's skills, especially the fact that such high-quality shots were taken with a Nikon Z30. The post is deemed worthy of the 'Real-time Best' front page."
