There's a popular rumor that Shin-chan's family is rich because they live in a two-story house, but let's look at the reality.
Looking at the location, it takes exactly 1 hour from Kasukabe Station to Tokyo Station (near his office). To save money, it takes over 1 hour and 10 minutes to Shinjuku, and exactly 1 hour to Ikebukuro. The location is far from Tokyo's 23 wards. To get to Yokohama, another wealthy suburb, it takes over 3 hours round-trip just on the train.
The land is 134m2 (40 pyeong) worth 17.8 million yen, and the building is 84m2 (26 pyeong) worth 14.3 million yen. Having 40 pyeong of land in the Tokyo metropolitan area might seem impressive, but in Korean terms, it's like owning an old 30-something pyeong apartment in northern Uijeongbu or Yangju.
On the other hand, let's look at Nobita (Nobi Nobita) from Doraemon, another representative Japanese anime.
Nobita’s house has an incredible location, reaching Shinjuku within 20 minutes and Ikebukuro within 10 minutes. It's not in Saitama or Chiba, but in the actual 23 wards of Tokyo.
Nobita's land alone is worth about 600 million KRW, and including the building, it's valued around 1 billion KRW. Shin-chan has to split his inheritance with his sister, leaving him with maybe 100 million KRW, but Nobita is an only child, so he inherits the whole 600-700 million KRW alone. Conclusion: Nobita is the real rich kid.
