Taiwan's summer after a year's worth of rain fell in a single week

This happened in downtown Kaohsiung, southern Taiwan. After a year's worth of rain dumped on the region in just one week last summer, massive mushrooms started popping up. These giant mushrooms growing in parks and roadside flower beds are 'Chlorophyllum molybdites.' News reports warned people not to eat them as they are poisonous and cause stomach pain, diarrhea, and vomiting.
"Users are baffled by the giant 'forbidden snacks' and joke about the inevitable urge some people have to eat random wild mushrooms, referencing the Mushroom Gallery community."
