Please help!! T_T This is my first time posting on DC. I run a cafe. I often buy dessert ingredients from Coupang. A few months ago, I bought some ladyfingers (savoiardi) for tiramisu, and they were covered in mold. Some were dark, some were light, and the light mold was so hard to see I almost made desserts with them. It was a 'Seller Rocket' item. The seller was 'Baking Youth,' and their bio said 'An online bakery shop creating healthy baking.' When I went back to the product page, there were already reviews mentioning mold. Despite that, they kept selling them. Since you soak ladyfingers in coffee for tiramisu, it's hard to tell if you're not looking closely. They were exploiting that, thinking people wouldn't notice. I left a review with photos and complained to customer service to take the listing down immediately, but they kept selling it. It was ridiculous. I thought the refund would be handled since they said they would, but months later, the purchase history didn't show it. I checked, and Coupang just stopped the refund process without even asking me because the seller refused. I requested a refund again, and they said they'd let me know in 3 days, then kept saying 'We'll refund you, wait 3 more days' for months. Recently, they said the seller finally refused, so a refund is impossible, and they asked for my understanding. Is there anything I can do? Even if it's Seller Rocket, Coupang is the broker, so I feel they should be responsible. It's shocking they just flat-out said no refund because the seller refused. It's not a huge amount, 67,000 won ($50). It's not about the money, but I can't just let this unethical behavior slide. It's upsetting that Coupang lets them keep selling rotten snacks they probably got from some dumping site. I'm fuming... Please help... Should I tip off the media or report them to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety? It's my money... But I've never done anything like this, so I have no idea how.
