Starting the New Year with a bang as always.
Somehow got deep into surf fishing too. Realized way too late it's a total scrub way to fish—no vibes and zero catches lol;;;
Huge haul at the end of winter. You still gonna tell me you don't use Payo lures?
Maintaining these 8 Tatulas almost killed me;;;
Got interested in minnows so I made some, but I still haven't used them lol. In my head, I've already caught like 5 trillion lunkers.
The annual winter tradition: Red crab mukbang.
Went camping a lot this year. Probably influenced by the surf fishing.
Once it got warm, I craved some topwater action so I carved a 'Gak-mok' (wood block) and made a crawler. It actually caught more than expected, so it was a blast.
Started shore gaming while camping. Since it was a new genre for me, I had no clue what I was doing and lost dozens of jigs. But the excitement and butterflies were just like when I first started bass fishing.

Started properly filling out the 'Pokedex.' Flathead sizes were great, and catching multiple red-spotted groupers felt freaking amazing. Mebaru fishing is seriously addictive lol.
Honestly, let's just count this as a catch;;;
Exploring the rock cliffs was so much fun. The scenery was just beautiful. I wonder how long this feeling will last.
Gave rockfish (mebaru) another proper go. Maybe I got lucky, but I caught so many good-sized ones. Everyone tells me to keep them for food, but I’m still not really into keeping them yet.
Ending the year with bass, as usual.
Had a lot of diverse fun in 2025. Planning to have even more fun in '26. Hope everyone has tight lines and big catches.
