There's this group called the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist. Supposedly, if they teamed up, they were strong enough to take down a Kage.
During the Great Ninja War, these seven were toying with Might Guy's squad and were about to kill them off in a miserable way. Then, the Leaf Village's 'weakest genin' and Might Guy's dad, Might Duy, showed up and charged at them.
Technically the Seven Swordsmen 'won' the fight, but 4 of them were killed and the remaining 3 were so badly injured the group disbanded. One of the survivors later ended up in Akatsuki with Itachi and warned him that messing with Guy is a death sentence. That's why Itachi noped out whenever he saw Might Guy.
