Why North Korean restaurants abroad started banning South Korean customers
North Korea never says no to earning foreign currency, so they used to let South Koreans spend money at their overseas restaurants. But at some point, they started blocking them at the door. Was it because inter-Korean relations got frosty? Nah, even back when they were literally shelling each other, they didn't do that. So why?

It's because of a chain of 'forbidden love' escapes and 'screw it, let's bolt' mass defections. To stop it at the source, they just banned South Koreans altogether. One famous Korean YouTuber, Captain Ddaggeo, managed to bypass the ban because they just assumed he was Chinese.
"Users are cracking up over how mass defections and the 'non-Korean' visuals of a certain YouTuber led to North Korean restaurants closing their doors to Southerners."
