The way he handled this was just... so f***ing disappointing. I mean, if you get a couple tattoo, it’s only a matter of time before you get caught. Then he should’ve at least been prepared to go public. To get a couple tattoo without any plan when he has zero intention of going public... honestly, beyond being thoughtless, I’m wondering if he even has a brain. This is the first shock... I didn't realize he could be this immature. How could he do this after everything that happened in 2019? Especially during such a critical time right before a comeback... If things go south, he's the one who pays the price. Did he really not know it would turn out like this? Hmmm... if so, that’s even more disappointing. That’s not just being thoughtless, that’s being a total airhead. Anyway, since things are already a mess, I wish he would’ve just owned up to it like a man. If he had just said, 'I've been in the industry for years, I'm old enough now, and I want to experience love. Please understand, we're gganbu, right? I'm sorry for hurting your feelings but I'll keep working hard for ARMY, so cheer for me~ thank you!'—if he had made a bold statement like that according to his personality, the vibe would’ve been everyone giving him a standing ovation like 'Aww my baby is all grown up, go ahead and love all you want.' The fandom's mood would've shifted and it would've been a perfect transition from idol to artist (this point is so frustratingly wasted...). I seriously thought he was the ultimate 'tough guy.' You know that blackboard meme about having no self-pity? To me, Jungkook’s image was exactly that. But in reality, he was acting like some middle schooler in a 'love-bug' phase enjoying a thrilling secret relationship and doing all sorts of cringe couple stuff lol. And then seeing him keep his mouth shut and sneakily trying to make a comeback like a sly fox because he’s scared of losing his cash cows now that fans are leaving... it’s a total character break. That’s the second shock. Where did that cool, badass tough guy go? Was the 'fan love' he showed all this time just acting to generate massive wealth? Did Jungkook also just see fans as money makers in the end? Is that why he's been avoiding this and trying to brush it under the rug? I’ve been barely holding on with grit and loyalty during the military hiatus, and then he drops this giant turd on us. I feel so empty. I think I’m in the 'denial' phase of leaving the fandom. I spent my entire school years stanning BTS, loving them, and surviving my shitty life through them. It’s hard to find anything else to recharge me or comfort me at the end of the day, and honestly, I don't think there is anything else. I have lingering feelings because of the time and money I poured in. I wonder if I’ll feel different when BTS makes a comeback in March... I don't know. It's complicated.
"Fans are venting their frustrations over Jungkook's recent 'couple tattoo' controversy, criticizing his perceived lack of transparency and calling out the gap between his 'tough guy' image and his silence on the matter. Many feel like 'cash cows' and are struggling with the urge to leave the fandom."
