This is just my opinion so don't come at me too hard... Honestly, with HYBE's image tanking because of the lawsuits, Bang Si-hyuk's scandals (pretty high chance of guilt IMO), and all the owner risk, I don't think they'll ever get that mainstream appeal back lol. I feel like it might be better for them to just disband and remain as the legends who only hit #1 on Billboard... Hitting #1 on Billboard looks tough this time, and domestic digital charts seem even harder to climb. Imagine the hate BTS would get if they failed to hit #1? There are already so many delusional antis lurking who hate HYBE lol. It's not like they're leaving the company or anything...

Looking at how the digital rankings for NewJeans, LE SSERAFIM, ILLIT, and TWS all dropped after the Min Hee-jin lawsuit, I don't think BTS will be an exception... LeSera/Illit/TWS used to hit #1 easily before the Bang Si-hyuk vs. Min Hee-jin expose war, but since those scandals, they've dropped to peaking at #5 or staying in the 20-50 range. I think just not having a comeback and doing solo stuff while leaving the group as a legend is a decent option.
