The 'Next-Gen Electric Atlas Development Model,' set for its first reveal at CES 2026, is built on Boston Dynamics' long-standing expertise. It features autonomous learning capabilities and flexibility adaptable to any work environment, maximizing efficiency on actual manufacturing floors.
This model boasts 56 Degrees of Freedom (DoF), allowing most joints to rotate fully. It's equipped with tactile sensors in human-sized hands and can perceive all directions through a 360-degree camera, making environmental detection a breeze. It also has the strength to lift up to 50kg (approx. 110 lbs) and can reach heights of up to 2.3m (approx. 7.5 ft). It's highly durable, performing fully even in environments ranging from -20°C to 40°C (-4°F to 104°F), and is waterproof for easy cleaning. Beyond that, as an industrial robot capable of various tasks from material handling to precision assembly, it can learn most tasks within a single day. It's designed to autonomously head to a charging station to swap batteries and resume work immediately when power is low.
