(Seoul = News1) Reporter Shin Cho-rong — A story has surfaced about a man who received a note from an unmanned cafe owner for only ordering a 1,000 KRW cup of water. A, a man in his 30s, shared on JTBC's 'Incident Team' on the 6th, "I usually go to an unmanned cafe with my girlfriend for about an hour or two. Since we go after work, there aren't many customers, so we usually go there to quietly do some personal work." However, because it was late, he often ordered a cup of water served in a paper cup instead of coffee and used the cafe several times that way. One day, the owner came into the shop and told A, "Customer, you visit our shop often. I'm really grateful for that, but from next time, I'd appreciate it if you'd avoid just buying water and taking up a seat." The next day, when he visited again, the price of water had been raised from 600 KRW to 1,000 KRW. A was sitting with his girlfriend after buying one Americano and one cup of water. A few dozen minutes later, the owner came in and silently left a note. The note read, "Thank you for buying water all this time, but please don't come back in the future. Find another cafe to use while drinking water." A asked, "As soon as we got the note, my girlfriend and I got angry and left immediately. It's not like we were sitting there for free, so is it right to be treated like this?"

"The comments are a mix of roasting the 30-year-old 'broke-ass' for squatting in a cafe with just a cup of water and calling out the owner for being petty instead of just changing the shop's rules."
