I saw that actor I liked from Shameless was in it, so I started watching thinking it was just some regular food/cooking drama.
But then I was like 'what even is this' because it felt like they just rounded up people with depression, anger management issues, and anxiety disorders.
They even used a depressing Radiohead song for the season finale, so I thought these guys were legit insane.
The drama feels like they dumped a ton of depression, misery, and pain into it and then just sprinkled a tiny bit of hope. American food industry workers praised it for being 'hyper-realistic.'

It's totally soul-draining to watch, but it swept the Emmys because of that. Chef-related content is trending in Korea right now, so I thought I'd share.
"Users agree that the show (The Bear) is a masterpiece of stress and misery, with many relating to the toxic kitchen environment while others find it too draining to finish."
