Flying Squirrel
The Korean ones are protected natural monuments and have scent glands, so they stink and can't be kept as pets.
American flying squirrels were imported for a while and quite a few people owned them, but that got banned because they were being poached for export.
Even so, since there were already many in Korea, people thought the price would drop once they started breedingโbut then a fatal flaw for their popularity was revealed.
The thing is, once flying squirrels settle into a stable life, they lose all interest in sex and turn into 'DINKs' who just enjoy a peaceful, child-free life with their partner.
Ultimately, they failed to breed and couldn't escape the 'rare pet' status.
"Users are cracking up over the fact that flying squirrels basically choose a child-free lifestyle the moment they get comfortable."
