A few days ago, the casting for the live-action "Rapunzel" was announced, and unlike the 'PC' (woke) casting of recent years, they went with a white actress faithful to the original. So now both sides are reacting like, 'What's gotten into these guys?' So why did Disney ditch PC casting?? First, let's look at their live-action track records before they went nuts for PC.

Cinderella (2015) - Earned back more than 5 times its production budget.

Beauty and the Beast (2017) - Ranked 2nd at the box office that year.

Aladdin (2019) - Worldwide $1 billion mega-hit.

Cruella (2021) - Released during the peak of COVID but still broke even. As you can see, success was guaranteed just by making them. Of course, it's not like these works didn't have 'Political Correctness' messages. Cinderella was more proactive than the original, Jasmine struggles with not being able to become Sultan because she's a woman... Everything was adjusted to fit a more modern sense of 'Correctness' compared to the original. But it was done within the range of satisfying the audience's needs. So, what about the ones made after they went off the deep end with PC?

The Little Mermaid (2023) - Didn't even break even (barely managed to after hitting streaming).

Snow White (2025) - Couldn't even recover production costs. Even though these two are based on: Snow White (1937) - The world's first feature-length animation, the foundation of Disney; The Little Mermaid (1989) - The masterpiece that ended decades of the Dark Ages and revived Disney. They made them like that and got those results. Furthermore, around the same time, Disney's original homeโthe animation departmentโalso went crazy for PC.

Strange World (2022) - Didn't even break even. The disastrous combo of a black gay teenage protagonist.

Wish (2023) - Ran a $100 million deficit. Boldly put a black protagonist with dreads in the 100th-anniversary film. This is how they tanked it... If they continue producing with a PC focus from here? Forget losing fans, the executives might end up in prison for breach of duty (malpractice).

Moreover, this live-action is Rapunzel, and the Disney animation released right after Rapunzel was...

If they chase PC and tank the live-action for THIS one (Frozen), they're literally going to jail for breach of trust lolololol.
"The community is roasting Disney for its string of 'woke' box office failures, with many predicting a return to tradition solely for financial survivalโespecially with the high stakes of a potential Frozen live-action remake."
