Traveled from Paris to Newcastle by bus. Thought we'd go through the Chunnel, but the whole bus boarded a ferry. First time seeing the moon from a ship, it was great.
Bus fare included a meal voucher, so I even ate at the ferry cafeteria.
Transferred once in London and arrived in Newcastle. FlixBus UK is a pass... they use Yutong (a Chinese brand) and the seats are cramped as hell. I recommend National Express.
Korean food made by the landlady. Luckily found a house share right away. She even let me stay for free for two months. It was hard to find a short-term rental for just two months, but I met a real life saver.

Newcastle Central Station. GF suggested going to a small nearby town called Durham.

Went on a picnic to see the sunset at the beach. First time trying matcha latte liqueur—mixed it with milk and it literally just tasted like a matcha latte.
Seaton Sluice beach. Hardly any people, it was nice.
Everything was great, but the wind was so strong it was f***ing cold.
Residential area looks kinda American. Or is America just British-style?
Had Quiche on the way out. Thought it was British, but turns out it's French. Tastes like a rolled omelet on top of tart pastry.
Went for an outing to Jesmond Dene. Can see the waterfall photo spot in the distance.
GF says sunshine is so rare in the UK that you feel guilty if you don't go outside when it's sunny.

Residential area. Fences are so low they're basically non-existent. Driving culture is the same as Korea or worse (meaning it sucks). Felt it even more after being in Schengen Europe for two months where the driving culture is good.
Matcha ice cream downtown cost 15,000 won... UK dining prices make you want to cry.
Octopus playing with a plastic basket. Came to Tynemouth Aquarium to see seals. It's a small local aquarium, but the entrance fee is crazy expensive.
Pacu? It's huge as hell.
It also doubles as a seal sanctuary, so you can see seals undergoing treatment.

Seriously so f***ing good... Every fish and chips I've had before was a lie. Since this was the 6th month of my trip, I was getting sick of traveling and exhausted, so I just decided to hunker down in the UK for 2 months since my GF is here.
