There's this game called 'Code Violet' that just released yesterday on January 10th, 2026.

The genre is a mix of female protagonist + dinosaurs + 3rd person TPS + horror. A dinosaur horror game? That definitely caught some people's attention.

Since the lead is a female character and they promised some 'revealing' skins, there were actually some people overseas hyped for it. But there was one weird catch: it's only coming out on PlayStation. To be precise, it's not a Sony 'exclusive,' the company just isn't making a PC version. And the reason is...

They claimed that if they release a PC version, people will make mods, and they want to prevent 'sexual mods' from being created. So they stuck to PS only. That's why it's technically not a PS exclusive.

As soon as they posted this on their official Twitter, the internet went up in flames. In Korea, nobody really cared because it doesn't even support the Korean language anyway.

But the scores just came out, and it's sitting at a Metacritic 40... Last year's worst games of 2025 were Gollum (33) and Mindeye (28), and it looks like this game is starting off 2026 as the first 'trash game' of the year.
One Korean YouTuber played it and posted a review, but I'm not linking it because people will say I'm shilling. I'll just post the official trailer instead. If you're curious, just look it up on YouTube. For the record, the price is $49.99, which is about 72,000 KRW.
"Gamers are mocking the developers' 'anti-mod' excuse for a console-only release, especially since the game turned out to be a total flop with a Metacritic score of 40."
