To get back at an acrobat who played a prank on her, she put pepper on a scarf and gave it to him as a gift. While the acrobat was performing a trick where he puts his head in a lion's mouth (a trained lion) while wearing the scarf, the pepper irritated the lion, causing it to bite his head. This incident left the victim in a vegetative state.
The acrobat's brother became paralyzed from the waist down trying to save him, and the lion was shot for biting a human.
Afterward, Regina never faced any consequences and continued to live her life perfectly fine.
