Neo Bomberman
If you were born in the 80s or 90s, you've probably seen this at least once at an arcade or a stationery store.
It was super popular in Korea, but apparently, it wasn't a big hit in Japan.

When you start the game, you can choose between Story Mode and Battle Mode.

Story Mode is fun, but for kids back then, Battle Mode was the real hype content.
Each character has a special ability, except for the main character, the regular Bomberman.
Here are some of the top-tier characters:

Kotetsu
Special ability: Teleports to a random location. It's super useful because you can escape even if you're trapped by bombs.
But if you're unlucky, you might teleport right onto an explosion and die.
An OP character that even noobs can use easily.

Honey
Special ability: Heart bombs that move randomly at high speed.
The AI and beginners can't handle her and usually end up killing themselves, but in the hands of a pro, she's a nightmare.
She's especially broken in Battle Mode stages 2 and 3.
Gold
Special ability: High-speed dash. You can even cancel mid-dash.
Fast early-game looting is a huge plus, and you can ignore movement speed debuffs by dashing.
These three are considered the strongest, though Rubber (who turns into slime to go through walls) is also rated pretty well.

Unlike the original Bomberman, there's a mount system, so you're less likely to get one-shotted, and each mount has different skills for maximum trolling.

As a side note, there was a whole controversy about Crazy Arcade (BnB) plagiarizing Bomberman.

Since not just the gameplay but even the death animations are identical, it's a total rip-off... but somehow they managed to move past it.

Korea-Japan collab anime 'Bistro Recipe' (Yoriking Joriking)
"Users are reminiscing about their childhood arcade days, discussing the 'meta' characters of Neo Bomberman, and bonding over their shared hatred for Crazy Arcade being a blatant rip-off."
