The government lowered the price cap for the 100% EV subsidy from โฉ53M to โฉ50M. In response, Tesla immediately dropped the Model Y RWD price from โฉ52.99M to โฉ49.99M.
Apparently it wasn't today, happened back on Dec 30.
They're actually dropping the price on the Juniper, even though it's already selling like hotcakes Juniper RWD 52.99M -> 49.9M
