Fuji greetings!

Kanadori

Before hitting Fuji-Q Land, I came to check out Arakurayama Sengen Park first thing in the morning.

It was only 7 AM but there were already quite a few people.

Is this that Stairway to Heaven? I walked it myself and 5–6 minutes was plenty.

Seems pretty chill, huh.

Y'all better call me the King of Weather...

I thought going up and down would take a while so I budgeted a lot of time, but it was quick, so I had extra time left over.

Took the Naruto train to Fuji-Q.

I thought it was ¥6000, but it was ¥7500. Quickly went into Klook and paid 63,000 KRW.

If you come by train, you enter through the back gate like this, and there’s basically nobody. Maybe 20 people behind me when I entered around 9 AM?

I was wondering what to ride first, but since this path immediately led to Eejanaika, I decided I had to ride that one.

Somehow, I ended up on the first ride. It wasn't as scary as I thought. I think Nagashima Typhoon was scarier. That one just flips backward without warning, but this one felt a bit more relaxed going into it, maybe that's why?

The Labyrinth of Horror (Senritsu Meikyu). Maybe because it was morning, it wasn't as scary as I expected. I was alone, so I didn't even think about going inside for a second.

Weather is great.

Next up, Fujiyama. Waited maybe 30 minutes? Totally feels like the textbook definition of a roller coaster. Since the weather was sunny, Mt. Fuji greets you when you climb 80m up, which is cool, but the fear of dropping soon doesn't give you time to relax and enjoy it. Special note: there's a crazy recoil at every corner that feels like you’re gonna be bounced right off.

Bisha Bisha Takabisha
This one was the scariest for me. The 121-degree drop is similar to other coasters, but surprisingly, going up the 90-degree lift hill was terrifying... I don't know why, but it was scary. The initial instant acceleration part was super fun too. It sucks that Dodonpa isn't there anymore.

Zokkon had a 70-minute wait, so I hesitated. Waiting an hour is a bit much... I decided to ride everything else first and if the line didn't shrink, I’d buy a skip-the-line pass.

I was wondering what to ride, and this one appeared in front of me so I rode it. I got in right away, but the prep time was way longer than the ride time. Not that fun, meh?

Tetsukotsu Banchou (Iron-Frame Foreman)
While waiting, I saw the swings going up far away and thought, 'That looks terrifying.' Plus, the safety bar was super minimal... But once I went up, it wasn't scary at all; the problem was how cold it was. Everyone was cold coming down.

Had Ichiraku Ramen for lunch. The taste was just like generic stuff you could eat in Korea. It cost ¥1100, which isn't bad for an amusement park, I guess? I debated whether to get the Odaeguk Special or the standard Ichiraku Ramen, but I felt sick after riding Fujiyama this morning, so I chose the standard ramen (which has less volume) just in case I ended up making monjayaki in the air while riding something later.

Gotta try Zokkon too.
The outdoor screen said 70 minutes, but I only waited 40 minutes. Checking online seems to be the most accurate? For being the ride I waited for the longest, it was the least fun. If you like extreme stuff like me, you might find it boring.

Next up, Tondemina.
Ah... Japan just can’t cut it... The GOAT in this category is Gyeongju World's Tornado. That one is twice as scary because the safety bar lifts and makes noise, but this place is too safe-safe-safe, so it's not scary at all.

Around 3 PM, everyone disappeared; there were no wait times. You could get on a ride in 15–20 minutes. The fastest I got on was when I got off and immediately walked back in, luckily there was one seat left, so I rode it again in 5 minutes. After riding everything, I decided Fujiyama was the most fun, so I rode only that all day. I think I rode it about 6 times total today? Japanese amusement parks assign your seats, so I tried both the front and back rows. It was my first time riding in the front row ever—it was seriously terrifying but seriously fun. My fun ranking is Fujiyama > Takabisha > Eejanaika > Zokkon.

Next up, Tentekomai.
It's a ride you control yourself to spin. I really wanted to spin right from the start, but I was scared it would give me instant motion sickness so I couldn't try... I never got sick when I was young, but time is cruel...

Infinite Fujiyama running until sunset.

By 5 PM, the wait times got longer, probably because everyone wanted to ride one last time.

The park closes at 7 PM, with entry cutoff at 6 PM, so I had to choose and focus on my last ride. I rode Fujiyama enough, so I decided to try Fuji Airways last, which had a 70-minute wait during the day, so I hadn't dared to line up.

Seriously, the turnover rate sucks. I waited an hour. They use polite language (keigo) while you wait, but once you enter, they switch to informal language (banmal) to give commands, fitting the Survey Corps concept, which is super cute lol. Honestly, I haven't watched Attack on Titan, so I don't know the content, but I'd rate it as one of the best 4D rides I've ever been on.

Since I came through the back gate, this was the first time I realized these guys were here.

So this is the main entrance.

When I rode Fujiyama, I always waved hello to people on the observation deck. I wondered where that was, and it was on the way out.

Dinner tonight is Saizeriya.

The first time I went to Saizeriya in Tokyo, I saw students just ordering three dishes each and feasting, so I thought, 'Oh, I have to try that next time,' and just ordered a ton.

I heard the escargot was famous, so I ordered it. I ate it thinking it looked like sea snails or whelks, but it doesn't suit me.... What even is this flavor?

Checking out Mt. Fuji again on the way back to the accommodation today.
This is the brightness I see with my naked eye. No, actually, it's even darker. What the heck is that photo above?? Samsung/Galaxy, what are you even looking at?

The sky shot with Expert RAW. It didn't turn out great because the surrounding light was strong, but the sky is definitely clear. Today was fun too.
"A successful Fuji-Q rampage! Some rides were scary AF (Fujiyama looks 'vicious'), others were just cold, and The Labyrinth is best tackled solo—get back in there!"
