The one thing Korea, China, and Japan all surprisingly claim to be the 'core' of

Since Apple doesn't manufacture iPhones directly but sources parts and outsources production, Korea, China, and Japan all have different takes on the iPhone.

Recently, a Japanese broadcast did a 'Sugoi Japan' segment, bragging that Japan provides the most parts (1,282 pieces) for the iPhone.

However, even in Japan, some critical opinions surfaced like, 'What's the point of having 1,282 parts if it only accounts for 9% of the cost?'
But as you can see in the graphic, while Korea has fewer parts than Japan, it includes the most 'core' component: the display.

So in Korea, we see 'Gukbbong' articles like 'Jumo! iPhones are basically domestic products!'

Not wanting to be left behind, China—which handles the 'assembly'—claims, 'As expected, iPhone is Made in China.'

When production started in India, China posted hate comments about 'low-quality' Indian iPhones, insisting that assembly belongs in China.
"Netizens laugh at how Korea, China, and Japan are all fighting over who's more important to Apple, while acknowledging that they're all just 'performing bears' working for the American owner."
