The Big 3 girls' schools in Tokyo, Japan. You have to pass an exam to get in, and there's no high school admissions, so if you fail the middle school exam, it's game over. 1. Ouin Junior and Senior High School

(I didn't include the photo because the quality was bad, but they have a pants uniform too) A school that prioritizes etiquette education. I heard 7th graders have etiquette classes once a week. Graduates who've started working say the class they'd most want to retake is etiquette, so it seems like it's actually helpful later in life. The middle school entrance exam is insanely hard; one time, the Japanese section used the exact same passage that appeared on the Tokyo University (Todai) entrance exam. Because the ratio of high-achievers is so high, many women don't rely on marriage, leading to a high rate of staying single. Deviation value (Henchachi) 70~77 (Anything over 70 is roughly the top 2%) 2022 Todai admissions: 77 out of 228 graduates (69 if you exclude multiple department passes) (30.26% success rate for current students) Med school admissions: 113 (76) (33.33% success rate)

2. Joshi Gakuin (JG) Junior and Senior High School

A mission school usually shortened to JG. They value a free-spirited school culture, so dyed hair, makeup, piercings, and casual clothes are all OK. During breaks, they do everything from making 'nagashi somen' (sliding noodles through a pipe) out of plastic bottles to cooking nabe (hot pot) or gathering in the rooftop garden for Halloween cosplay. All sorts of crazy stuff happens. It's apparently common to find BL books on the floor or see students playing Tarzan with the curtains. Looking at this, it might seem like a total mess of a school, but it's absolutely not easy to get in... Deviation value 70~76 2022 Todai admissions: 31 out of 222 graduates (28) (12.61% success rate) Med school admissions: 70 (19.37%) Famous alumni include Nogizaka46's Ikeda Teresa and others.

3. Futaba Junior and Senior High School

A Catholic girls' school with a strong 'ojousama' (posh lady) image. They have an elementary school too, and there were rumors that some kids used Hermes scarves to wrap their lunchboxes... (The principal didn't deny it when asked if it actually happened). But that's mainly an elementary school thing; since various students enter from middle school onwards, they say it's not quite that extreme. Deviation value 68~74 2022 Todai admissions: 9 out of 175 graduates (5.14%) Med school admissions: 97 (27.43%) Famous alumni include comedian Ito Asako and others.
"The post breaks down elite Japanese girls' schools, but the comments are the usual internet chaosโranging from lonely people looking for hugs to bitter guys warning everyone to stay away from girls' school grads."
