The K-food spread Western vegans are supposedly jealous of

'Wow, Korean namul (seasoned veggies) recipes!!! Temple food!!! Itโs the ultimate food for vegans!!'โthis is just us being stuck in our own bubble because we don't know or care about foreign recipes...

Take Italy, for instance. Their vegetarian recipes are so advanced that things like the famous ratatouille or certain wood-fired pizzas are guaranteed to taste great as pure vegan recipes.

In Mexico, you've got guacamole and plenty of pure grilled veggie recipes that are pretty similar to our Korean 'jeon' (savory pancakes).

If you look at India or Greece, their specialized vegetarian recipes are incredibly developed. Honestly, India has way more vegetarian recipes than Korea does.

In the Mediterranean, there's a dish called 'Horta' thatโs almost exactly like our namul, but using olive oil instead of sesame oil.

The typical salad we think of when we hear 'vegetarian' is just the most common modernized image; in reality, every country has its own advanced vegetarian recipes.
"Users are humbling the K-food pride by pointing out that India is the true final boss of vegan cuisine and that 'Western food' isn't just bland salads."
