Iconic Movie Scene Born from an Ad-lib
King Leonidas's "This is Sparta!!!" line from Zack Snyder's 2006 film 300, played by Gerard Butler. The script actually directed him to whisper the line, but Butler felt that, given Leonidas's personality, he would never whisper it, so he shouted it at the top of his lungs. Director Zack Snyder reportedly loved it.
