Hyundai reveals Level 4 autonomous driving
They said they held a private test drive at CES 2026, and now the promo video is finally out.
The project got scaled back for a bit because of some 'Mr. Song' at 42dot, but they're hiring like crazy again and revving up for commercial service.
There's a lot of talk about LiDAR, but units under 1 million KRW are hitting the market now, so saying it's 'too expensive' is old news.
"Users are geeking out over LiDAR becoming affordable through mass production and spotting IONIQ test cars in the wild, though some find the car's 'human-like' creeping at crosswalks a bit too real."
