Minari
It was originally a vegetable barely eaten in Japan.
The only Minari dish you'd see was Nabe (hot pot) in Miyagi Prefecture, where Minari is a specialty.
Riding the Hallyu wave, word-of-mouth spread, and import volume is steadily increasing.
Because of this, even though it has the Japanese name *Seri*, the Korean name *Minari* has taken over.
But since Minari grows so damn well, they aren't just importing it anymore—they're farming and eating tons of it domestically too...
"K-Veggie domination! From Minari in Japan to Kkaennip in the US, our herbs are taking over the world, one ssamjang dip at a time."
